Hi, I'm Lance and this is Encinitas Barrel! I love photography and capturing the awesome waves and barrels of the SoCal beaches. I hope you enjoy browsing through my work!  

I was born and raised in Encinitas and have always had a strong love for the ocean. You can find me at the beach bodysurfing or playing volleyball. I truly love being able to capture the perfect moments inside the barrels of the waves of Encinitas.

I started Encinitas Barrel back in 2015 using a GoPro my family got for Christmas. I would spend hours out in the waves hoping to get the perfect barrel shot, for which I am still searching! You will find photographs that contain colorful waves from the warm, summer water, and also many crisp barrels from the icy, winter season.

It started as a hobby as I would post my photos on Instagram (@encinitas_barrel)  for my friends and family to see. It has since expanded into a small business with both photographs and apparel up for sale.  All of the photos you see on this site are filter-free and untouched by photoshop or coloring. I believe in the natural colors of the ocean and its raw beauty that it exposes. Go get out in the water and see for yourself!
